This week there was not much on education policies regarding DeVos and Trump. Although, there was this issue brought to the public attentions after this past week. This week DeVos gave a graduation speech that did not go as planned. In the article “Betsy DeVos Says We Should ‘Start Fresh’ on Higher Ed. Here’s Where to Start” by Mary Reim she talks about the event of DeVos getting a graduation speech at a historically black college. This speech was for the effort of trump trying to work his way into historical black colleges. Although the were offended for the reason that they feel like its all a joke which I understand. Trump I feel like just wants to obtain Obamas reputation. So I can see that they will be offended when some new education secretary give there graduation speech. I think that Trump needs to figure out his higher priorities with our education system and not worry so much about his image.
