This week there was an actually event that was based on the education system and what is happening with all the change happening. This was taken place at the town hall in Washington. The first thing that was addressed at this meeting was by Catherine Engelbert and she “asked him about his priorities ‘around education’ and around ‘the work of the future'”(Strauss 1). This is basically the same thing that I am wondering. All of these new rules are being put into place, but they are contradicting other rules that are already being followed. Also all of these new rules being put into place are the really helping us build towards the future? I don’t even think Trump knows how these new rules are being put into place when he states “it is so sad to see what is coming, happening in the country”(Strauss 1). Like if you see what our education system is struggling. why aren’t you doing anything to fix it? Although he seems to think that Betsey DeVos is going yo fix everything. Its even worse because even DeVos is unsure how she can fix things when she states “U.S. public schools nationwide are in such bad shape that she isn’t “sure how they could get a lot worse”(Strauss 1). It seems that everything DeVos is talking about is directed towards her views and not so much what is needed for society. In this article,Trump says DeVos is ‘highly respected’, U.S. education is ‘so sad’ — and there’s more it is very optioned that everything Devos is doing is wrong. Which I agree that some of the things that she is trying to do make little to no sense considering this si how our country has been doing for centuries.  I can’t wait to see how this event turns some of the thing that were said previously by DeVos and Trump.
