Feb 13th post: Issues

After reviewing the Washington post I was able to find a few issues I am looking foreword to following throughout the semester. The first issue I am the most interested in is the travel ban in place by Trump. I have been keeping in touch with the ban since I found out it is effecting the education of student. I think that it is important for the white house to continue to repeal the ban. The reason I think this is important because I am one for studying abroad. I think its a great way of learning. In the states we do have an abundance of students that do come to get a better education. I don’t think we should be restricting student visas. It will continue to be in the news because many schools in the states are fighting to get their students back into their university. Another issue that relates to the travel ban is, disapproval rate of Trump. I find this important because this his disapproval right it the worse in while. His rates keep on going down and now they are as low as ever at eight percent. It is likely to continue because the news will continue to question if his rate will improve or become worse. Depending on the issues her brings up or puts into place. The other issue I will be looking into is the idea of carbon tax. I think that it is important because if we but a tax on carbon it will reduce the use of it. We could also increase our economy, but it could also effect our economy. This will be up and going because the idea was just introduced there are limited details about the topic. I also want to look more into Betsy DeVos and her spot in the education chair. She was just introduced as the education secretary and just made her first appearance to Howard. Her role as a secretary isn’t very pubic yet so over the next couple weeks, we will learn more about her thoughts and changes. I am very interested in what she does with funding of schools and her thought of guns within the school. She also thinks that there shouldn’t be public schools and only private.
